September,3,2016:
There is absolutely no confrontation between my Govt. and Judiciary.
Seeking to drive away the perception that there is a cold war going on between the Judiciary & his Government, PM Narendra Modi on Friday said that under his dispensation there is "no scope" for any sort of confrontation with any constitutional institution.
Modi said recently in an interview that his govt. works by rules, law & Constitution and there isn't scope for any sort of confrontation or tension with any constitutional institution.
Narendra Modi described it as a "totally wrong perception", referring to reports of confrontations between the executive & the judiciary.
Modi said, "There must be as much warmth with the Judiciary as needed for the Constitutional decorum. I do try my best to maintain as much decorum as possible."
Lately, there have been reports about confrontation between judiciary & govt. , especially regarding the of appointment of Judges.
Even on the Independence Day, Chief Justice of India TS Thakur expressed disappointment over the silence of "popular" Prime Minister Narendra Modi over issues of "appointment of judges" and "justice" during his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort.
