Law Ministry informed Lok Sabha that 7 cases are pending before 9 Judges Bench, 8 cases are pending before 7 Judges Bench and 35cases are pending before 5 Judges Bench.
The Ministry replied to unstarred questions that whether Government has taken note of the fact that several cases having serious consequences for the legal system of the country are pending before various Constitution Benches of the Supreme Court.
The pending cases before the Constitution Benches of the Supreme Court are not categorized on the basis of “having serious consequences for the legal system of the country”.
