The President of India has assented to the appointment of Justice Jaswant Singh,Judge of the High Court of Orissa as Chief Justice of the High Court of Tripura.

The notification of appointment read as "In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Jaswant Singh,Judge of the High Court of Orissa to be Chief Justice of the High Court of Tripura, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office."

 Justice Jaswant Singh became President of the Chandigarh Lawyers Sports Association and elevated as Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court on December 5, 2007. Thereafter he was transferred and took oath as a Judge in the High Court of Orissa on 8th October, 2021.
