The Central Government of India has assented for the appointment of Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, senior most Judge of the Patna High Court as the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court.
The notification issued by the Law Ministry notifies that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, Judge of the Patna High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”
About Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh
Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh was designated Senior Advocate with effect from 18.09.2010. He was appointed as Additional Advocate General, Govt. of Bihar in December, 2010 and continued as such till his elevation as an Additional Judge, Patna High Court with effect from 05.04.2012. His lordship assumed the charge as Acting Chief Justice, Patna High Court on 06.02.2023.
