June,1,2016:

Instead of prosecuting all suspects as Terrorists, policy being designed for their de-radicalisation.

DV Sadananda Gowda, Union minister for Law and Justice has expressed concern about Muslim youths being slapped with false terror charges.

He was speaking in Aligarh at a program organised under 'Vikas Parv' celebrations. Series of such programs are being held to mark two years of the PM Narendra Modi Government at the Centre.

He assured the gathering that legal reforms are in the pipeline to specifically address such cases,

While responding to increase in instances of Muslim youths being arrested under false terror charges Union Minister remarked, "Arrest of Muslim youths on false terror charges is a matter of grave concern for the Govt. and we will bringing in changes to contain this.''.

He told that Law Commission is working on a report in this regard to bring about reforms in criminal procedure, bail, prosecution lapses, etc.

He was asked a question about rising instances of false terror charges being levied against Muslim youths and the problems of rehabilitation in the Society they face post their acquittal.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh had earlier told the Media that the government has decided to calibrated its approach to terror investigations. It will advise police to make its approach sophisticated, including decising de-radicalisation strategies, rather than necessarily prosecuting all suspects as terrorists".

Recently,a Special Mumbai Court had discharged all the Muslim men accused of Malegaon blast case,  despite NIA's last minute opposition. Once slapped with untenable terror charges, many Muslim men loose the prime years of their lives languishing in jail.

Even after they are released they find it difficult to adjust to a world in the ever changing World.
