According to the notification, Haridwar's District & Sessions Judge Vivek Bharti Sharma has been posted as the registrar general of the HC, replacing Dhananjay Chaturvedi, who has now been made secretary (law).
Similarly, Rajendra Singh, who was serving as principal secretary (law), has now been made secretary, Lokayukta. Also, Ashish Naithani, presiding officer of the labour court in Haridwar has been posted as district & sessions judge in Pauri Garhwal. Among other major changes, Sikand Kumar Tyagi, who was serving as the District & Sessions Judge in Pauri Garhwal, has been made the District & Sessions Judge in Haridwar. Tyagi will be replacing Vivek Bharti Sharma.
Besides, Sahdev Singh, the first Additional District & Sessions Judge of Haridwar, has been transferred to Haldwani & Shankar Raj, the first Additional District & Sessions Judge of Dehradun, would now serve at the same post at Laksar. Apart from Sahdev Singh and Shankar Raj, Dharam Singh, who was serving in Rishikesh as the first Additional District & Sessions Judge, was moved to Khatima.
Meanwhile, Nainital's Chief Judicial Magistrate MM Pandey has been made the additional director of Ujala i.e Uttarakhand Legal & Judicial Academy of Bhimtal (Nainital). Further, Kusum (who goes by her first name), additional district judge of Almora, has been made the registrar protocol of the HC. Other than these, several other ADJs & Civil Judges have also been given transfers.
