The Lucknow High court bench of the Allahabad High court has issued notification regarding the appointment of Amicus curiae of the High court. The High court in its notification has notified that,
"It is notified for information to all concerned that a new panel of 151 Advocates has been prepared for the purpose of appointment as Amicus Curiae in the High Court, Lucknow."
The court has also notified that out of 151 Advocates, total 89 Advocates have been selected to act as Amicus Curiae in Criminal side and 62 in Civil side.
In Criminal side out of 89 Advocates, 70 Advocates have been selected for the purpose of the offences punishable with imprisonment for a term of more than 7 (seven) years and the names of 19 Advocates have been selected for the purpose of the offenses punishable with imprisonment for a term upto 7 (seven) years."
The court has direted to all the Bench Secretaries and concerned Section Officers of Judicial Sections to maintain proper record regarding appointment of Amicus Curiae by the Hon’ble Courts.
