The Peacekeeping and Conflict Resolution Team (PACT) in collab with the Indian Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC) present the 3rd edition of the Online Dispute Resolution Competition!
ABOUT
Online Dispute Resolution Competition (ODRC) is the first competition in India that is conducted online. It provides a platform for students, from across the globe, to resolve a variety of legal issues through negotiation and understand how technology interacts with the field of dispute resolution. This is an Official Invitation and we request you to forward this to students who would be interested in taking part in the competition.
Dates of the competition
The teams will be negotiating online on the following days - 11th-12th and 18th-20th September 2021.
Number of teams
The 3rd edition of the competition will see participation from 48 teams from around the world. 
Themes of the competition
The 3rd edition will see teams negotiating a variety of issues relating to sports, technology, commercial and contractual deal making amongst others.
Registration period
Registrations close on August 16th, 2021.
Registration Fees
The registration fees for the competition is  INR 2500 per participant (Indian Students) or USD 40 per participant (International Students).

Brief Overview about Indian Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC):

Indian Dispute Resolution Centre, IDRC is a not for profit initiative of 'Indian Dispute Resolution Council' dedicated to provide an institutional environment, both online and offline, for resolution of all kinds of disputes in an efficient, professional, time bound and cost effective manner.

IDRC has developed its own Domestic Arbitration Rules and Mediation Rules which are complimented by in house developed state of the art Software for eADR which provides an end to end completely digitised paperless functionality for carrying dispute resolution by way of Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation of Domestic and International Disputes apart from  Early Neutral Evaluation and Expert Determination.

The eADR Portal also known as ODR, Online Dispute Resolution has eArbitration, eMediation and eConciliation Software.

The IDRC maintains an in-house panel extremed Arbitrators and Mediators which include former judges of Supreme Court of India, Chief Justices of High Courts, Judges of High Courts and District Courts as also Senior Advocates, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Architects, Ex-PSUs Heads, Bureaucrats, Corporate Leaders and like. Empanelment positions are offered only by way of invitation to the best dispute resolution professionals available in the country and other parts of the world.

eHearing/Virtual Hearing – The eADR Software has inbuilt World renowned Video Conferencing Platforms which are totally secured with end to end encryption and HD Video with Dolby Voice Quality. The VC Platform has a facility to arrange eHearing participation of up to 100 Persons. It has the facility to carry out discreet hearing in Breakout VC Rooms even while the Arbitral Proceedings are underway. The eHearings are accessed through password and can be attended through desktops, laptops and mobile phones as well. There is an option to record the complete hearing on demand. IDRC can provide eSecretarial services on demand for the Virtual ADR Hearings (VAH).

The Virtual Hearing Software can be used irrespective of the fact whether it is Ad-hoc or Institutional Arbitration conducted under any institutional rules.
