The Division Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, comprising Chief Justice Ravi Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra has initiated suo motu case against the death of two workers who were engaged in manual scavenging.
The Bench expounded that it is rather unfortunate that the persons employed to do the work in a sewer hole have lost their lives. Even though there are various enactments and orders of the court to provide them appropriate care and protection, the Court find that number of people loses their lives for various reasons.
The Court issues the notice to Respondent State and ordered to reply in four weeks
