The Allahabad High Court has sought information from the Basic Education Council and the state government on a petition challenging the appointment of 31,000 posts of 69 thousand assistant teachers.

This order has been given by Justice Ajit Kumar on the petition filed by Sanjay Kumar Yadav. The petition alleges that candidates with low merit have been called for counselling and those with more marks have not been called.
