The Allahabad High Court has asked the State Government of Uttar Pradesh to submit the report of the SIT investigation of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission for the year 2018 for the recruitment of 1953 posts of Gram Panchayat Officer, Village Development Officer and Social Welfare Supervisor.

The Single Bench of Justice Ashawni Kumar Mishara while dealing with a petition filed by Vikash Tiwari and 124 others has stated that,

Two counter affidavits are said to have been filed on behalf of respondents which are not on record. Counter affidavit on behalf of State has been filed on 7.7.2021, whereas counter affidavit of Commission has been filed on 2.7.2021. Office to trace it out and place the same on record.”

The petitioners has submitted before the court that the commission had taken the examination from the OMR sheet. When its result was declared on August 28, 2019, allegations of rigging were raised, for which SIT was constituted to investigate. The petitioners further submitted that 1553 candidates have been verified and the government has canceled the recruitment on 24 March 2021. This has been challenged before the court in the present petition.

The hearing of the petition along with other pending petitions will take place on July 23.
