Delhi Government has decided to issue electornic passes to those engaged in delivery of essential services but belong to unorganized sector like vegetable vendors, grocery shops owners, mask and hand sanitiser manufacturing, etc so that their work remain uninterrupted.
A large number of people like those working in unorganised medical stores, grocery shop owners going to buy necessary articles are finding it difficult to travel due to the lockdown. It may affect supplies in different parts of the city.
The e-passes may make travel easy and ensure no shortage of essential supplies.
After a joint review meeting with LG, CM Arvind Kejriwal stated that the government will not let any crisis of essential supplies hit people in Delhi. Government was also mulling home delivery of essential supplies.
CM Kejriwal appealed to people to support the lockdown in the fight against Covid-19 and not to venture outside their homes.
