Since Lockdown 3.0 is ending, Courts are planning on to redeem normalcy within the premises but at the same time safety and precuations stand challenge as the fight against COVID-19 hasn't yet been over.

In this view, today during a hearing, Chief Justice SA Bobde stated that instructions would soon be released from the Supreme Court concerning to dress code and hinted that Lawyers and Judges could be exempted from donning Robes and Gowns.

In the vidoe conference held between the Bar and Bench, the CJI told Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal that Lawyers and Judges should not wear jacket & gown for time being as it 'makes it easier to catch virus'.

The COVID Pandemic had made everyone adapt to it and the statement of CJI can clearly be spotted as the result of transformations going on in the Legal world all over the globe.

This statement of the Chief Justice of India comes after the Supreme Court Judges assembled at the premises of Supreme Court vicinity instead of Judge's residence yesterday.

A three-judge bench of Justices L Nageswara Rao, Abdul Nazeer & Sanjeev Khanna had indicated expanding the Video Conference hearings.

Justice L. Nageswara Rao had stated:

"Yes. Its a "pilot project". We will assemble in Courtrooms from next week while lawyers can continue addressing the bench from their chambers"
