BJP had been promising a full statehood for Delhi, says Kejriwal.
Today Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal released the Draft State of Delhi Bill, 2016 for full statehood to Delhi as a State. It aims to bring police, land as well as bureaucracy under its complete control. He has also invited further suggestions from the general public.
He stated that an all-party meeting on the issue will be held soon. He urged the rival BJP and Congress Leaders to "rise above the Political differences" and join in on this issue. He pointed out that in its manifesto BJP had been promising a full statehood for Delhi.
Delhi CM said that he will personally write letters the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and meet him as well.
Kejriwal also plans to meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President Amit Shah and Congress President Sonia Gandhi to seek their support for the issue.
