July 14, 2018:

On Saturday, CJI Dipak Misra stated that,"Young Lawyers should tell themselves that I may be destroyed but can never be defeated. One should never be a victim of disease of mediocrity".

CJI Dipak Misra was speaking at Inaugration of Career Summit 2018, organized by Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.

He further stated that,"Say to yourself I am an incurable optimist. One should desert self-hypocrisy".

While addressing the participants, the dignitaries highlighted that there is no shortcut to success except hardwork Justice Gita Mittal, Acting Chief Justice of HC of Delhi highlighted the 3H's for Success in Legal Profession namely- Honesty, Hardwork and Humility.

DU VC Yogesh Kumar Tyagi highlighted that,"Law Graduates shall prepare themselves for excepting the need of International Legal Arena. Students graduated from Law Faculty, DU should be experts in new topics like International Trade Law, Cyber Law but also in foreign legal systems like Chinese Law, US Laws and Eu Laws".

He also stated that Law Graduates should not only seek employments but should strive to become employment generators and givers.

All the distinguished speakers reminded Budding Lawyers that they are the spokespersons of the society and the nation.

Efforts Ms. Professor Ved Kumari, Dean, Faculty of Law, DU were applauded by all present.

The Other Guest present at the event were Retired Justice MM Kumar, President, NCLT, Senior Advocate & Former Solicitor General of India Mohan Parasaran and Lalit Bhasin, President, All India Law Firms Association.

The Event saw 39 recruiters which included Law Firms, Practising Lawyers, 4 NGOs including Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) of Senior Advocate Colin Gonsalves, Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) which has been floated by Nobel Prize Winner Kailash Satyarthi.

This is first of its kind effort by Faculty of Law, Delhi University.

Faculty of Law started in Delhi University in the year of 1924 and is now running three law colleges of 3-Year Law Course mainly Campus Law Centre, Law Centre-1 and Law Centre-2.

Law Faculty of DU boasts of 6 sitting Supreme Court Judges as part its Alumni apart from 64 Judge in various High Courts  and several hundred District Court Judges apart from scores of Designated Senior Advocates.
