President of India has assented to the transfer of Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari, Judge of the Allahabad High Court to Madras High Court,

The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Shri Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari, Judge of the Allahabad High Court, as a Judge of the Madras High Court and to direct him to assume charge of his office in the Madras High Court.

Madras High Court has sanctioned strength of 75 judges, working with 60 judges only.
