On Friday, the Centre has notified the appointment of 10 new Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court for a period of 2 years.
The appointed judicial officers are:
- Shri Virinder Aggarwal
- Ms. Mandeep Palm
- Shri Amarinder Singh Grewal
- Shri Parmod Goyal
- Ms. Rupindeijit Chahal
- Ms. Shalini Singh Nagpal
- Shri Subhas Mehla
- Shri Surya Partap Singh
- Ms. Aaradhna Sawhney
- Shri Yashvir Singh Rathor
The notification issued read to this regard:
"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (i) Shri Virinder Aggarwal, (ii) Ms. Mandeep Palm, (iii) Shri Amarinder Singh Grewal, (iv) Shri Parmod Goyal, (v) Ms. Rupindeijit Chahal, (vi) Ms. Shalini Singh Nagpal, (vii) Shri Subhas Mehla, (viii) Shri Surya Partap Singh, (ix) Ms. Aaradhna Sawhney and (x) Shri Yashvir Singh Rathor, to be Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, for a period of two years, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices."
