The President of India has assented to the appointment of Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao as Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

The notification issued by the Law Ministry notifies that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer SIvi Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court and to direct him to assume charge of his office in the Jharkhand High Court.”
