The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Junior Engineer(E&M)-1 working in the office of Garrison Engineer, MES, Jaipur(Rajasthan) for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the Complainant.
A case was registered on complaint against Junior Engineer(E&M)-1 working in the Office of Garrison Engineer, MES, Jaipur and a Manager(HR) of a private company based at NOIDA(Uttar Pradesh) on the allegations of demanding undue advantage from Complainant’s salary for continuing his services on contract basis. It was further alleged that the Complainant (a Contractual Employee) of NOIDA based private company was working as Electrician Helper at Military Engineering Services(MES), Jaipur and was getting salary for the work performed by him. It was also alleged that the Junior Engineer(E&M), MES in conspiracy with Manager(HR) of said private company, demanded bribe of Rs.26,000/- & agreed to accept Rs.16,000/- as first installment for himself and for said HR Manager from Complainant’s salary for continuing his services and further contract in MES.
CBI laid a trap and caught the JE(E&M) red handed for demanding & accepting undue advantage of Rs.10,000/- from the Complainant as first instalment. Searches were conducted at 05 places including Jaipur, Sriganganagar, Ghaziabad & NOIDA at the premises of accused. This led to recovery of Rs.3,00,000/-(approx) along with other incriminating documents from the premises of the said JE.
The accused will be produced today before the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Jaipur.
