The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended a Malaria Inspector, MCD, West Zone, Raja Garden New DELHI and an Ex-contractual employee of MCD for demanding and  accepting bribed of Rs 10,000/-.

A case was registered against the Ex-Contractual employee of MCD, West Zone, Raja Garden, New Delhi on a complaint. It was alleged that accused told the complainant that a complaint is registered in NGT, New Delhi against him. The accused (ex-contractual employee) demanded a bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from the complainant for closing the said complaint and for not taking further legal action.

CBI laid a trap and apprehended the said accused (ex-contractual employee) while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000/- from the complainant. During the trap proceedings Ex-contractual employee disclosed that he demanded and accepted the alleged bribe on behalf of Malaria Inspector, MCD West Zone, Raja Garden, New Delhi. Accordingly, during further trap proceedings, Malaria Inspector, MCD West Zone, Raja Garden, New Delhi was also apprehended while accepting the bribe/ undue advantage of Rs. 10,000/- from the said Ex-contractual employee. 

Searches are being carried out at the premises of the accused persons. 

Investigation is continuing.
