Police have registered cases against 4 gym owners in West Delhi & arrested 2 of them for violating the Delhi govt order issued in the wake of coronavirus outbreak, officials said on Sunday. 2 gym onwers -- Kanhaiya Lal & Vishal, both residents of Madipur, Punjabi Bagh have been arrested & action against rest of the owners is being taken, they said.
Four First Information Report's have been registered against the owners for operating gyms in West Delhi areas of Punjabi Bagh, Moti Nagar & Kirti Nagar despite govt orders, police said.
The First Information Report's have been registered with a view to deter the violation of orders promulgated by the govt for the purpose of prevention & control of epidemic disease Coronavirus in Delhi, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Deepak Purohit.
According to a Delhi govt order issued in the wake of coronavirus, operation of gyms & spas were suspended till Mar 31.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi has mounted to 27 including one death.
