The President of India has assented to the appointment of advocate Sachin Singh Rajput as Additional Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court.

The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Sachin Singh Rajput, to be an Additional Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, for a period of two years with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”

Chhattisgarh High Court has sanctioned strength of 22 judges, working with 13 judges. With these appointments the vacancies reduces to nine .
