The President of India has assented to the appointment of five Judicial Officers as Permanent Judges of the Rajasthan High Court.

Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has tweeted that “In exercise of the power conferred under the Constitution of India, Hon’ble President of India, in consultation with Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the following Advocates and Judicial Officers as Judges of Rajasthan High Court.”

The five new judges are:

1. Farzand Ali;

2. Sudesh Bansal;

3. Anoop Kumar Dhand;

4. Vinod Kumar Bharwani; and

5. Madan Gopal Vyas

The Rajasthan High Court has a sanctioned strength of 50 judges, functioning with only 23 judges.
