Senior Advocate Kishore Datta has resigned as the Advocate General of West Bengal stating “personal reasons”.

Mr Datta has sent his resignation letter to West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar and the same was accepted.

 'I do hereby tender resignation as the Advocate General for the State of West Bengal with immediate effect owing to personal reasons." ,the resignation letter said. 
Mr. Datta, who took charge in February 2017, is the fourth advocate general of West Bengal in a row to have resigned from the post during the Mamata Banerjee regime.
