Bombay high court issued notice nominating judges for the physical hearing of assigned cases at the principle seat at Bombay starting from October 1 to October 30.

The principle seat at the Bombay high court will initiate physical hearings for matters of criminal jurisdiction on specific dates from October 1 to October 30. The high court published the notice assigning two divisional and two single benches to hear the matters in the physical presence of advocates and parties strictly following special procedures due to the pandemic.

The court nominated the following judges for the two divisional benches:

  1. Justice P.B.Varale and Justice V.G Bisht
  2. Justice S.S Jadhav and Justice N.J Jamadar

The divisional benches will be hearing matters on 1,6,8,13,15,20,22,27 and 29 October from 11 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm.

The following judges were nominated for the single bench:

  1. Justice A.S Gadkari
  2. Justice P.D Naik

The single benches will be hearing matters on 7,9,14,16,19,21,23 and 28 October from 11 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm.

The court has not opened all the courts for physical hearings in view to reduce the physical presence of litigants, lawyers, and court staff due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
