On Saturday, as the Bar Council of Delhi Elections Committee was gearing up to restart the counting process, certain eliminated and suspended candidates who had been banned from entering the S-Block of Delhi High Court forced their way into the building.
The candidates in videos circulating on social media can be seen manhandling the returning officers and blocking them from boarding lifts to the counting hall. The returning officer can be seen being pushed by a lady lawyer while he was whisked away by another lawyer.
Bar Council of Delhi had on Friday notified that the Counting of votes will resume on 25th April in the S-Block of the Delhi High Court.
The notice further stated that the entry of the eliminated candidates and the 4 candidates suspended from the counting area is not allowed, but entry of their representatives is allowed in the candidates' lounge.
The notice directed the candidates and their representatives to carry their ID Cards for smooth entry in the counting hall.
