2. Mr. Suyash Pant, and Mr. Devender Singh learned Standing Counsels and Mr. Vikas Uniyal, learned counsel for the State/respondents.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the State/respondent nos. 1 to 4.

4. Learned counsel for the respondents prays for and is granted three weeks time to file the counter affidavit.

5. By means of present writ petition, the petitioners have sought quashing of the G.O. dated 16.01.2026, passed by respondent no.1 and also a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to re- calculate the pension of the petitioners as provided in the Government Order dated 16.01.2026.

6. Learned counsel for the petitioner has, in fact, drawn the attention of the Court towards an interim order dated 29.01.2026 passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court in WPSS No. 209 of 2026. 7.

Learned counsel for the respondents does not dispute the same.

8. In view of the above, there will be an interim order in view of the order passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court in WPSS No. 209 of 2026. Accordingly, the effect and operation of the impugned order dated 16.01.2026 shall remain stayed qua the petitioners.

9. Stay application ((IA No. 01 of 2026) and urgency application (IA n., 2 of 2026) stand disposed of.

10. Learned counsel for the petitioner further makes a statement that the pension of the petitioner has for the month of January 2026 has been stopped.

11. In view of the above, pension of the petitioner for January, 2026 may also be released.

12. List this case along with WPSS No. 209 of 2026.
