Anchan Devi Vs. State of Uttarakhand

Mr. Vipul Sharma, learned counsel for the Applicant.
2. Mr. Chitrarth Kandpal, learned Brief Holder, for the State of Uttarakhand.
3. In the High Court of Uttarakhand, the present case arises from Bail Application filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking regular bail for the Applicant - Anchan Devi, who has been accused in FIR/Case Crime No.271 of 2025, under Sections 137 (2), 143 (4) of the BNS, at Police Station Piran Kaliyar, District Haridwar. The Applicant is in judicial custody since 13.10.2025.
4. Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the Applicant has falsely been implicated in the present matter. He further submits that the Applicant has no previous criminal history, and the Applicant is a woman. Learned counsel for the Applicant further submits that the co-accused Vishal Kumar Gupta, was exonerated in this matter.
5. Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, the Applicant has made out a case for bail.
6. Accordingly, bail application is allowed. It is directed that the Applicant - Anchan Devi, who has been accused in FIR/Case Crime No.271 of 2025, under Sections 137 (2), 143 (4) of the BNS, at Police Station Piran Kaliyar, District Haridwar, be released on bail on furnishing a personal bond with two reliable sureties each in the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned court. The Applicant shall cooperate with the trial proceedings and shall not misuse the liberty granted to her.
