The challenge in this appeal is made to the judgment and order dated 10.01.2026, passed in WPSS No.101 of 2017, Smt. Ganga Joshi Vs. Uttarakhand Parivahan Nigam and Others, by this Court. By it, the order terminating the services of the respondent has been quashed; with other reliefs.
Learned counsel for the appellants submits that, in fact, the respondent was appointed on contract basis; she was given a show-cause notice before his services were terminated on the ground of misconduct; she was not a regular employee.
Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the order terminating the services of the respondent is stigmatic in nature.
Having considered, as an interim measure, till the next date of listing, the operation of the impugned order shall remain in abeyance.
Stay application stands disposed of, accordingly.
