2. This criminal jail appeal filed by the appellant is received through Superintendent, District Jail Almora.
3. As per Office report, there is delay of 20 days' in filing the appeal. Since the appeal is filed through Jail by the appellant, therefore, the delay is not seriously opposed by learned State Counsel.
4. Accordingly, the delay in filing the criminal jail appeal is condoned.
5. This criminal jail appeal is directed against the judgment and order dated 23.07.2025, passed by Special Sessions Judge (NDPS Act)/Sessions Judge, Champawat in Special Sessions Trial No.59 of 2020, State vs. Ajay Kumar, whereby the appellant was convicted under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act and sentenced to undergo 18 months' R.I. with fine of Rs.15,000/- with default stipulation of 1.5 months' additional simple imprisonment in view of the provisions contained under Section 20
(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act.
