                                  Hon'ble Ravindra Maithani, J.

Mr. M.K. Ray, Advocate for the petitioner.

Mr. M.S. Bisht, Brief Holder for the State.

Mr. Anoop Kumar Verma, Advocate for the respondent nos. 3 and 4.

By means of this petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs:-

(A) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned rejection order dated 11.04.2025 passed by the respondent no.2, whereby the respondent no.2 has cancelled the character certificate of the petitioner dated 11.12.2024 issued by the respondent no.2.

(B) Direct the respondent no.2 to issue a character certificate to the petitioner forthwith.

(C) Issue work order to the petitioner forthwith arising out of the advertisement dated 22.02.2025 published by The Nagar Palika Parishad Gadarpur District Udham Singh Nagar. (D) Issue any other order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of present case.

(E) To allow the writ petition and award the cost of it in favour of the petitioner.

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that prayer no. (C) is not being pressed.

Since prayer (C) is not pressed, the writ petition is dismissed qua prayer no. (C).

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in so far as the prayer nos. (A) and (B) are concerned, the matter is squarely covered by the judgment dated 27.05.2014, passed by this Court in WPMS No.1176 of 2014, Krishna Pal Singh Chauhan Vs. District Magistrate Haridwar and Others.

This fact is admitted by learned counsel for the respondents.

Since the matter is covered, the petition is decided in terms of the judgment dated 27.05.2014, passed by this Court in WPMS No.1176 of 2014, Krishna Pal Singh Chauhan Vs. District Magistrate Haridwar and Others.
