  JUDGMENT :

(per Mr. G. Narendar C. J.)

Learned Deputy Advocate General for the

State submits that he has been instructed by the second

respondent to state that the third respondent was called

to the Police Station and counseled and, on an inquiry,

the third respondent has stated that he has no objection

for the petitioners getting married and living as a

couple.

2. Per contra, learned counsel for the petitioners

submits that the petitioners have already got married on

2025:UHC:3882-DB

07.04.2025.

3. In that view of the matter and, in view of the

fact that both the petitioners being major and being

entitled to enter into wedlock, we do not see any

impediment for the marriage that has been performed.

4. Accordingly, we direct the second respondent

to carry out the threat assessment and in the event of

there being any reasonable apprehension regarding the

safety and security of the petitioners, the second

respondent shall provide necessary protection as

warranted by the circumstances.

5. The writ petition stands ordered accordingly.

There shall be no order as to costs.
