Upon hearing the learned Counsel, the Court made the following

JUDGMENT : (per Sri Vipin Sanghi, C.J.)

This public interest litigation was initially preferred in November, 2021. The same has remained under defects, and the defects have not been removed. The Registry has, consequently, listed the petition today.

2. The grievance raised by the petitioner in the present writ petition is with regard to continuation of the permission granted to respondent No. 4 to carry-on mining beyond the period of four months. The said period has long since expired.

3. This petition has, therefore, become infructuous. The same is dismissed as such.
