2. This appeal is filed under Section 374(2) of Cr.P.C. against the judgment dated 14.07.2023 rendered by Special Sessions Judge, Chamoli in Special Sessions Trial No. 18 of 2020.

3. By the said judgment, appellant has been convicted for offences punishable under Sections 363 and 366(A) of IPC and under Section 3/4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and was sentenced to undergo 5 years' rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs.2,000/- under Section 363 of IPC, with default stipulation of 20 days' additional simple imprisonment; he was further sentenced to undergo 7 years' imprisonment with fine of Rs.5,000/- under Section 366-A of IPC, with default stipulation of one month's additional simple imprisonment; he was further sentenced to undergo 20 years imprisonment with fine of Rs.20,000/- under Section 4(2) of POCSO Act, with default stipulation of one month's additional simple imprisonment and was further imposed a fine of Rs. 20,000/- under Section 4(3) of POCSO Act. It was directed that all the sentences shall run concurrently.

4. Appellant has filed this appeal through Superintendent, District Jail, Chamoli.

5. As per office report, the appeal is filed within time.

8. Let Lower Court Record be summoned.

9. We appoint Ms. Geeta Parihar, Advocate as Amicus Curiae to appear on behalf of the appellant.

10. Registry shall supply copy of paper book to learned Amicus Curiae within three weeks after receipt of LCR, as per Rules.
