The proposed Criminal Appeal has been filed against the judgment dated 16.11.2022/21.11.2022 passed by the learned 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge, Haridwar in Sessions Trial No.176 of 2015, "State vs. Prayas and four others, whereby the appellant Ishwar Dayal has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of five years along with a fine of Rs.10,000/- for the offence punishable under Section 307 read with Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and in default of payment of fine, the appellant has been directed to undergo additional simple imprisonment for a period of six months.
Heard Mr. Gaurav Singh, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. T.C. Agarwal, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State.
