This criminal appeal has been filed against the judgment and order dated 03.02.2021/04.02.2021, passed by the learned District & Sessions Judge/Special Sessions Judge, Champawat in Special Sessions Trial No.19 of 2018, "State vs. Vicky", whereby, the appellant has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years along with a fine of Rs.10,000/- for the offence under Section 363 IPC; he has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of seven years along with a fine of Rs.10,000/- for the offence under Section 376 IPC, and, he has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of seven years along with a fine of Rs.10,000/- for the offence under Section 3/4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. All the sentences are directed to run concurrently.
The delay in filing the present criminal appeal is not seriously opposed by the learned counsel for the State. The delay is condoned.
Summon the lower court records. The learned counsel for the State requested two weeks' time to file objection(s) to the bail application.
