JUDGMENT
This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 17.04.2017 passed by Writ Court in WPSS No. 182 of 2012. Operative portion of the said judgment is reproduced below:
"Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed. Respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner for the post of E-O Level Officer, on the basis of his Trade Certificate (Civil) qualification within a period of ten weeks from today."
2. Response affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent. In paragraph no. 9 of the response affidavit, it has been stated that the judgment rendered by learned Single Judge of this Court was challenged in Special Appeal No. 548 of 2017.
3. Learned counsel for the respondent has produced in Court the final order dated 09.10.2017 passed in the said Special Appeal, which is taken on record.
4. Perusal of the order indicates that the judgment rendered by learned Single Judge was set aside and the Writ Petition was dismissed.
5. In such view of the matter, the Contempt Petition is closed.
6. Contempt notice issued to the respondent is hereby discharged.
