The petitioners to the present writ petition have prayed for enhancement of their minimum wages, which are paid to them from Rs. 8213/- to Rs. 21060/-, on the basis of the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission, as made applicable in the department.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the matter stands squarely covered by the judgment, which had been rendered by this Court in a writ petition, being Writ Petition (S/S) No. 113 of 2021, Mukesh Singh and others Vs. State of Uttarakhand and others, which was allowed by this Court vide its judgment dated 25.11.2021.

This aspect, that the matter stands squarely covered, is strongly refuted by the learned Addl. CSC; she draws a distinction to the applicability of the said judgment.

In that eventuality, let the respondents may file their counter affidavits within a period of three weeks from today.
