                        JUDGMENT

1. Petitioners' writ petition was disposed of with liberty to them to make representation to the Competent Authority and the Competent Authority was directed to take decision in the matter, within six weeks.

2. Mr. T.P.S. Takuli, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that petitioners' representation was decided by the Secretary (Finance) vide order dated 06.08.2019. He further submits that subsequently petitioners were promoted as District Audit Officer in terms of new Rules notified in the year 2019.

3. Since petitioners' representation has been decided, therefore, compliance of the order of Writ Court has been made.

4. Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed. Notice issued to the opposite party is hereby discharged. However, petitioners shall be at liberty to make representation to the Competent Authority, claiming promotion from due date, if so advised. If such a representation is made, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law.
