JUDGMENT
1. WPSS No. 723 of 2014, filed by the petitioner, was allowed by Writ Court vide judgment dated 10.12.2015 and mandamus was issued to the respondent authorities to give pensionary benefits to the petitioner by treating that he has put in ten years of qualifying service.
2. In this contempt petition, petitioner has contended that the direction issued by Writ Court has not been complied with.
3. A compliance affidavit has been filed by Mohd. Gulfam Ahmad, Chief Treasury Officer, Almora. In para 5 of the said affidavit it has been stated that a sum of ₹4,57,670/- has been paid to the petitioner towards retiral benefits on 13.07.2018.
4. In view of the statement made in the compliance affidavit, filed by opposite party no. 6, nothing survives in this contempt petition.
5. Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed. Notices issued to the opposite parties are hereby discharged.
