                            JUDGMENT

Heard.

2. According to the petitioner, he is a Pastor, who has been removed from the post of District Superintendent, District Pauri Garhwal, by Methodist Church of India. Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following reliefs:-

(i) To issue a writ, order or direction appropriate in nature to set aside the election proceedings conducted by the respondents in the pastorate conference and further to stay the upcoming election in the general conference to be held on 09.11/4/2021 (contained as Annexure no.4).

(ii) To issue a writ, order or direction appropriate in nature to set aside the removal of petitioner from the post of District Superintendent.

2. The dispute raised in the writ petition is an internal dispute of Methodist Church of India. There is no element of public law involved in the matter. Therefore, this Court declines to entertain this writ petition.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum available to him in law. No order as to costs.
