ORDER
20.05.2025
Heard Mr. Somik Deb, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr.
P.L Debbarma, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard
Mr. M. Debbarma, learned Addl. G.A. appearing for the respondents-
State.
[2] This present contempt petition has been filed under Section
12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, read with Article 215 of the
Constitution of India, for drawing up contempt proceedings against the
respondent-contemnors for their wilful and deliberate violation of the
directions contained in the judgment and order dated 06.03.2024 passed
in W.A No. 180 of 2022.
[3] It is seen from the order dated 01.04.2025 that the
respondent-contemnors would comply with the Orders and there was a
likelihood of considering the matter in its true letter and sprit and also
submitted that the cabinet would actively take a decision on this. Further,
It is also seen that they intended to prefer a review petition and the same
has already been filed and stands admitted. In view of the above, nothing
survives for adjudication. Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed and
thus, the same is disposed of.
As a sequel, miscellaneous application(s), Pending if any, also
stands closed.
