Heard Mr. K. De, Learned counsel appearing for the applicant.

This is an application under Order 41 Rule 5 of the CPC to stay the operation of the judgment and award dated 02.12.2023 passed by the Learned MACT No.2, West Tripura, Agartala in TS(MAC)No.175 of 2018.

By the said judgment, Learned Tribunal awarded a sum of Rs.42,18,268/- along with interest from the date of application till the date of payment.

This Court has already admitted the appeal. However, considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the operation of the judgment impugned is suspended subject to deposit of 50% of the amount of compensation by the Insurance Company to the Registry of the High Court of Tripura within a period of 1(one) month from today.

With this observation, the I.A. stands disposed of. A copy of this order be supplied to the Learned counsel for the applicant for doing the needful.
