Heard learned counsel for the respective parties.
In the meantime, it is brought to the notice of the Court by
learned Government Advocate that the State have themselves adopted a
policy of accepting applications from married daughters for appointment in
die-in-harness scheme. These are developments post disposal of the writ
petition.
Consequently, we dispose of this contempt petition directing
the State to implement the impugned judgment and all matters which are
pending consideration under the new policy adopted by the State must be
taken into consideration and decision be made by the State and
communicated to the parties concerned within a period of three months from
today.
We make it clear that the State shall also file compliance report
in this regard before this Court.
With the above directions, the contempt petition is closed.
