                              ORDER

10.03.2021 Heard Mr.Somik Deb, learned Sr. Advocate appearing

for the petitioner husband.

The petitioner in this case has challenged the judgment

and order dated 10.04.2019 passed by Family Court at Kailahahar in

Unakoti Judicial District where by a sum of Rs.20,000/- per month

was granted to the respondent wife as maintenance allowance and the

petitioner husband was directed to pay the said sum to his wife

regularly.

On the other day it was submitted on behalf of the

husband petitioner that the parties have made a one-time settlement

and in terms of that settlement, the respondent wife has agreed to

accept Rs.10 lakhs from her husband of which 5.5 lakhs have been paid and it is submitted by Mr.Deb, learned Sr.Advocate that the

husband will pay the rest of the amount by 17 th March, 2021. Learned

counsel therefore, urges the court to list the matter after 17 th March so

that the matter may be disposed of.

I have also heard Mr.Daniel Debbarma, learned counsel

who is appearing on the instruction of Mr.K.N.Bhattacharjee, learned

Sr.Adv.

List the matter on 31.03.2021.
