The respondent in the appeal has filed the present application for

passing an interim order directing the appellant not to alienate or change the

nature and character of the suit land, till disposal of the connected appeal.

The suit instituted by the respondents has been decreed pursuant to

the judgment which has been affirmed by the first appellate court. The judgment

of affirmation is challenged in the connected appeal.

To avert the multiplicity of litigation, the parties are directed to

maintain the status quo in respect of the suit land till disposal of the second

appeal.

Mr. D Bhattacharjee, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. Samar

Das, learned counsel appears for the applicant and Mr. SM Chakraborty, learned

senior counsel assisted by Mr. S Bhattacharjee, learned counsel appears for the

respondent.

The above order has been passed on consensus.

In terms of the above, this application stands disposed of.
