Rule.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Mr. Samrat Ghosh, waived

rule on behalf of the State.

This application is filed for condonation of delay caused in filing

appeal against the judgment of conviction and sentence passed by the

learned Sessions Judge, North Tripura, Dharmanagar. By the impugned

judgment, the appellant-accused has been convicted for offence punishable

under Section 302 IPC and other offences. He has been awarded life

imprisonment. Though the delay is quite substantial, looking to the

background of the accused and the nature of conviction and sentence it

would not be appropriate to reject the prayer for condonation.

In the result, the delay is condoned. Application is disposed of.
