JUDGMENT: (Per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan)
None appears for the appellants on call, though
Mr. G.Arun Kumar, learned Government Pleader for
Prohibition & Excise is present for respondents No.2
and 3.
2. We find that toddy licence granted in this case
was valid up to 31.03.2007 and it was extended
thereafter by six months. Thereafter, new excise policy
also came into force with effect from 01.10.2007.
3. Therefore, according to us, nothing survives for
adjudication in this writ appeal.
4. Writ appeal is accordingly disposed of.
Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall
stand closed. However, there shall be no order as to
costs.
