     Heard Mr. S.V.Ramana, learned counsel for the

appellants and Mr. M.Parma Reddy, learned Assistant

Government Pleader for Higher Education appearing for

respondent No.1.

2. This appeal is directed against the order dated

23.06.2008 passed by the learned Single Judge dismissing

W.P.No.11413 of 2008 along with other writ petitions.

3. Appellants were petitioners in W.P.No.11413 of 2008.

Appellants had assailed the legality of G.O.Ms.No.61, dated

13.05.2008, issued by the Higher Education (EC.II)

Department of the then composite State of Andhra

Pradesh, being contrary to the Andhra Pradesh Unaided

Non-Minority Professional Institutions (Regulation of

Admission into Under Graduate Professional Courses

through Common Entrance Test) Rules, 2006.

4. Learned Single Judge by a detailed order upheld the

validity of the aforesaid G.O.Ms.No.61 further holding that

the said Government Order did not contravene any

provisions of the aforesaid 2006 Rules.

5. At this stage, learned counsel for the appellants and

learned counsel for respondent No.1 submits that the

cause in this writ appeal no longer survives.

6. In that view of the matter, writ appeal is dismissed as

infructuous.

Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall

stand closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
