1. Learned counsel for the respondents jointly submit that the writ
petition was filed by the petitioners with the prayer that respondent
No.1 may be directed to issue necessary orders for engaging the
petitioners under the RajSWAN Project on the post of Network Field
Engineer along with a further prayer for their appointment be made

directly with the respondent-State instead through a placement agency.
They submit that the work order issued in favour of respondent No.3
came to an end by efflux of time, as recruitment to the post of Network
Field Engineer under the RajSWAN Programme was initiated by the
respondents while engaging respondent No.3 for a period of three
years, i.e., from 2018 to 2021. Learned counsel for the respondents
further submit that thereafter a fresh work order dated 20.12.2022 was
issued in favour of another agency namely M/s Sterlite Technologies
Limited and the said work order is not the subject matter of challenge
before this Court. They submit that since the term of respondent No.3
has expired and the recruitment process initiated through respondent
No.3 for the post of Network Field Engineer has come to an end, the
present writ petition has become infructuous.
2. It is also seen from the perusal of the order sheets dated
12.07.2023 and 03.02.2026 that none was present for the petitioner;
however, in the interest of justice, the matter was kept today, and even
today, none is present for the petitioner.
3. In view of the above and taking into consideration the fact that
the work order issued in favour of respondent No.3 has come to an end
by efflux of time for engagement on the post of Network Field Engineer
under the RajSWAN Programme and by way of order dated 20.12.2022,
a new agency has been allotted the work order, the relief claimed for
cannot be granted hence the writ petition is dismissed as having
become infructuous.
